First off: 5’5” 122lbs. The size was consistent with the Squak fleece hoodie, since I bought both. Size small was perfect, nice long arms, still flattering but room for a tee underneath. The blue color was a nice pop and the stitching quality was great. I love the thumb loops, fun squeak logo and scuba neck coverage! The only con…. I immediately threw it on and took it on a 3 day backpacking trip and upon inspection afterwards, there were lots of little snags on the front of the hoodie. I’m so sad, I wanted to love it but also wanted to put it to the test. I would love to see the exact same hoodie in a tighter knit to prevent snags and I’d scoop another one up immediately.

I purchased two of the Sun Hoodies, one for myself and one for my husband. He is an avid fly fisherman so this was an obvious purchase for him as he is standing in streams in full sun a lot this time of year. He is really enjoying the lightweight of the hoodie and sun protection. I am excited to wear it when I kayak and hike more this summer!

I'm always on the lookout for a good sun hoodie. I spend a lot of time on the water and biking and running in the sun and want to protect my skin and tattoos.
This hoodie fits the bill! I love the scalloped hem, it's flattering and not constrictive on the hips. The grid fabric is so very lightweight and breathable and the sleeves are the perfect length. I feel like the body could be an inch or two longer but I'm not mad about it. I haven't used the thumb loops yet, I am not one to have to have thumb holes but do appreciate the loops when paddling on the water. I really like the hood design as it protects my neck more than others, I will say however when running without the hood up I did feel the need to pull the neck out away from the front fairly often. I'm not sure if it needs a slightly larger opening or what makes it shift back? I feel like if it was too much larger it wouldn't have the same coverage. Oh and I love the raglan style seams, I feel like they lay better on the shoulders and make for a nicer fit and better when wearing a pack!
Overall I love this hoodie and now I want the blue colorway as well! I only docked a star for the neck constriction issue but will continue to wear it all summer! For reference I'm 5' 4", 130 lbs and ordered a small.

This sun hoodie is great! It’s super comfy, breathable, and cute. In the past week I wore it on a 9 mile hike and ran a 10k and I was so glad to have lightweight sun protection. It does show sweat easily, but it’s really quick drying so I didn’t mind (plus if you’re running or hiking who cares if you sweat a little bit). 10/10 would recommend. For reference, I’m 5’4” 120lbs and got a small in the green color and it has an awesome loose but flattering fit.

As a winter-loving, sun-averse trail runner, sun hoodies have become an essential part of my summer running wardrobe since moving to the west coast, where the big summer running routes and races often have long, exposed sections without shade. This sun hoodie is the perfect weight for regulating temperature during an all-day outing--thin enough to feel weightless during the heat of the day, but substantial enough to provide some warmth and protection from the wind during cool mornings. I tried this sun hoodie for the first time in a 50k+ run that took nearly 7 hours, and it was incredibly comfortable. It also held up very well under my running pack, which is unusual for a thin sun hoodie, and showed barely any signs of wear. Overall, this is a very comfortable, durable, functional shirt!
